(Picture not available)
GOOD FOR 4 PERSONS.
INGREDIENTS:
- SQUID – 5 PCs.
- OYSTER SAUCE – 2 tbsp.
- CHOPPED GARLIC- 3 cloves
- GIN – 1 tsp.
- WATER – 200ml. (or Pineapple juice, 7-up for tastier result)
- BAY LEAF – 1 PC.
- JUICE OF A LEMON – 1 PC.
- A PINCH OF GINGER POWDER
- A PINCH OF GROUNDED MIXED PEPPER SEEDS
- OLIVE OIL – 1 tbsp.
- CORN STARCH – 1 tsp.
PROCEDURE:
In a small sauce pan, heat the olive oil and saute the garlic with the bay leaf, add the water, the oyster sauce, the lemon juice, the gin, the ginger powder, the grounded mixed pepper seeds and bring to boil for 5min, dissolve the corn starch in a few water then pour in the boiling mixture, stir until desired thickness.
Heat a grilling pan or non-stick frying pan, place the squids and brush with the sauce, flip often and brush with the sauce until nice nicely grilled, transfer on a serving dish and pour the remaining sauce all over the squids.
Tip: I strongly suggest to cook over the charcoal for a tastier result.
